Deputy Head of the Revenue Service Vladimer Khundadze hosted the members of the Japanese delegation within the framework of the project initiated by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Deputy Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance Vladimir Khundadze hosted the members of the JICA consulting group.
At the meeting, the parties discussed aspects of support preparation and approval of the project – “Improvement of cargo scanning equipment in the port of Poti on the Trans-Caspian international transport route”.
Within the framework of the mentioned project, it is considered to deliver truck and railway X-ray scanner systems to the Customs Department of the Revenue Service.
Vladimir Khundadze, the deputy head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, signed a memorandum for cooperation in the customs field, which will facilitate the implementation of the project and the use of high-tech systems in the process of x-ray inspection of vehicles/containers at the customs border of Georgia.
The meeting held at the Revenue Service was also attended by the responsible persons of the Customs Department and the International Relations Department.
