Georgia has conveyed the World Customs Organization Instrument of Accession to “The International Convention on the Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures”

On November 7, at the headquarters of World Customs Organization (WCO) in Brussels the Instrument of Accession ceremony to the  “The International Convention on the Simplification and Harmonization of Customs Procedures- Kyoto International Convection”  signed by Prime Minister of Georgia has been organized.

Instrument of accession has been conveyed to Mr. Kunio Mikuria, Secretary General of WCO. The Convention is considered the most reputable in the field of legal relations, among international community and serves as the basis for harmonization of the Customs Code on the customs territory applicable to 112 Contracting Parties.

The revised Kyoto Convention promotes trade facilitation and effective controls through its legal provisions that detail the application of simple yet efficient procedures “
